Hi, just popping in to update my prgress sor far. Well I'm really excited as I have now lost approx 8lbs.... & I am wearing my jeans that were way to tight last week.
Am sticking to plan and haven't cheated. Just came home from taking Mark out for his birthday lunch and I gave him my garlic bread. That's huge for me as I looove garlic bread.
Have been doing my bodybot workout regularly....thigh muscles are killing me. Still not drinking enough water and am drinking too much diet coke but at least I am getting somewhere.
That's about it for the update.

Off and running....
Well I have nearly completed my first week of being healthy, had some success and some failures.
SUCCESS:- lost 3.6lbs
- have drunk more water than I usually do
- started working out
FAILURES:- haven't drunk as much water today as I wanted to
- struggling to cut down on the diet coke
- haven't exercised each day as I originally planned but will be doing so from now on.

This is my new best buddy. A PDA that arrived yesterday. I really needed one as I have so much going on that I was losing track of things. The added bonus and the main reason that I love it is that I bought a diet software addon. This means I can keep track of my food, carb intake, exercise, weight and measurements on the go. It means that i will have no excuse for forgetting what I've eaten.
I also found an Australian low carb forum here it will be good to speak with people from here and have them talking about the same products that we can buy here.
I also signed up for bodybot. This is a web-based exercise site, where you design your own 4 minute mini(but intense) workout targetting where you want and you can do as many workouts as you need.
Off now to drink some water and get on the treadmill

Welcome to my new blog
Hello, and welcome to my new blog. This will be a place where I write about the journey I am undertaking to lose weight and to get fit and healthy. I am sick of being at the weight I am, of feeling tired all the time and of having a virtually zero fitness level.
To achieve this I am about to start a low carb diet and an exercise program I designed with the help of my brother. I realise low carb programs have had their share of controversy, but I have tried various other methods and the low carb way is the way that works the best for me.
I am at work on night shift at the moment so when I get home that will be the official start of the creative process to create the new, rejuvenated me.
My exercise program is going to consist of a mixture of pushup exercises, using the treadmill, bicycle and rowing machine I have at home, taking the dog for walks and training for the beep test. This is the test the defence for and police use for new recruits. My husband is hoping to join the police force and will be training and I want to get fit so I can train with him...... I'm also hoping to get the kids involved as I think getting us all moving more will be beneficial. Not tthat the kids have weight issues, but I think they need to get more active.
I have joined a few weightloss challenges on a diet forum that I frequent. I am hoping that this provides me with support, motivation and the accountability I need to stay on the right path and to remain cheatfree.
That's about all for now..... I'll post my starting statistics when I get home from work.
